Hybrid Tea Roses
Hybrid tea roses are perhaps the most well known group of roses. They have large, well shaped blooms that are produced singly, or up to three per stem. This makes them ideal for picking, and they keep well in the vase. The group originated from crosses between hybrid perpetual roses and tea roses, with the earliest variety thought to be ‘La France’, released in 1867.
