Additional Information

MycoGold is the most complete mycorrhiza blend available, supercharging plant growth by harnessing the power of beneficial fungi and bacteria. From seedlings to established trees, MycoGold has excellent applications in the garden, and is perfect for roses, other ornamentals, veggies, and most other plants. It boosts root development, drought-resistance, and disease protection while reducing fertiliser needs. Formulated with endomycorrhiza, ectomycorrhiza, Trichoderma, and beneficial bacteria, it restores vital microbes often lost in Australian soils and is suitable for both organic and conventional growing methods.

How it Works

The beneficial fungi in MycoGold form a symbiotic relationship with the roots of plants and essentially act as a significant extension of their root system. In exchange for some simple sugars that the plant produces, the fungi seek out resources and help the plant access water and vital nutrients it would otherwise miss out on, boosting growth, drought resistance, and general health.

Use

A little goes a long way: A 50g pack innoculates up to 5 m² of garden or 15 bare root roses, and helps produce bigger, healthier roots for robust blooms and improved growth. For ongoing benefits, reapply each growing season or whenever conditions are unfavourable.

Selected Application Rates

  • Roses (Bare Rooted): Cover damped roots with 1 teaspoon of MycoGold per rose. A level teaspoon (5 ml) of powder is about 3 grams.
  • Home Garden: Apply 10 – 50 g per 1 m² and water into the soil profile.
  • Transplanting: Apply/Dip to water damped roots until covered. Try to apply at least ¼ – 1 teaspoon per plant depending on transplant size.
  • Turf / Lawns: Apply 1 – 2 g per 1 m² and water into the soil profile. In high value or problem areas the rates may need to be increased to 10 g  per 1 m².
  • Vegetables: 0.25 g per plant and water into the soil profile.
  • Tree Planting: 5 g per tree placed directly under the root ball in the planting hole.
  • Tree Saplings (up to 1 year): 5 – 20 g per tree watered in around the root zone. Apply enough water to carry the mycorrhizal to the root zone.
  • Trees (Established): 5 g per 1 m². Apply enough water to carry the mycorrhizal to the root zone.
