Additional Information

Calibrachoa × hybrida Bakari

Bakari flowers in a shifting sunset spectrum, individual blooms carrying red, orange, pink and yellow so that the plant reads as several colours at once and changes tone as the flowers age. It branches hard from the base into a mounding, trailing habit of medium-compact vigour, filling a basket without going bare in the middle, and it starts flowering early.

Calibrachoas want full sun, free drainage and consistent moisture; they sulk in heavy wet soil and go pale and hungry without regular feeding, so a controlled-release fertiliser at planting plus liquid feed through summer is worth the trouble. Flowering runs from spring until the first frosts with no deadheading needed. The scale suits small pots, window boxes, hanging baskets and mixed containers.
