Prunus salicina ‘Ruby Blood’ – Dwarf Blood Plum
'Ruby Blood' is a dwarf blood plum and a prolific bearer, with medium-large round to heart shaped fruit. Plums have dark red mottled skin and deep red, juicy, sweet flesh. Fruit can be used fresh or for preserves, jams and juices. Fruit is also freestone, making the pit super easy to remove.
A late-season variety, with fruit maturing in late February - early March.
Requires pollination to bear fruit, and 'Satsuma' and 'Mariposa' are suitable pollination partners. Another suggested pollinator is Narrabeen.
Grows to height 1.5-2 metres and width 1.5-2 metres. Requires staking when young.
