Syringa x hyacinthiflora ‘Alice Eastwood’ – Lilac
Lilac 'Alice Eastwood' is a medium sized deciduous tree or shrub, with a strong, upright growth habit. Blooms in mid-spring with an abundance of compact, slightly fragrant flower clusters. The double flowers start as deep purple buds and open to mauve.
Green heart-shaped leaves.
Annual mulching and fertiliser in autumn recommended, with summer watering required.
Plant in full sun.
This lilac has a strong, upright, rounded habit.
Tree Care
Plant in a well drained and well worked soil. Take care to plant the bud union approximately 5 to 10cm BELOW the soil level. Water in well and keep soil moist until tree is established. Fertilise when planting and again after new growth appears. Prune to shape if necessary.
