Additional Information
(Austulliver) The Mill on the Floss is a beautiful rose variety from David Austin, and a must-have for Austin collectors due to its unique colouration. Produces large clusters of medium-sized, deeply cupped blooms, each with a small boss of stamens. These flowers start as a medium pink colour, verging into lilac-pink, but as they open the petals lighten and develop a lovely carmine-pink outline.

The Mill on the Floss repeat blooms from summer into autumn, with blooms that have the gracefully nodding habit characteristic of many Austin varieties. This large and healthy shrub grows to 1.4 m in height, with gently arching canes clothed in glossy mid- to dark-green foliage. This rose also has a sweet fruity fragrance, and is perfect for adding colour and interest to any garden.

The Mill on the Floss is an excellent choice for a rose or mixed border. Also good for pots and containers. Suitable for shady areas, tolerating part shade well.

Named after the novel by George Eliot, first published in 1860.
