Additional Information
Tall bearded Iris bred in England by A.J. Bliss, 1922. This variety is from my grandmothers garden at the Sailors Falls railway station house where she lived in her retirement years. I believe it came from her mother who was a great gardener and had the ability to grow great amounts of russell lupins. We were able to identify this variety about 15 years ago thanks to Rodger Phillips and it is considered to now be a heritage iris variety that has lasted the test of time. This variety is easy to grow, can handle neglect, and will still perform each year with out any fuss. Flowering stems are tall to 1.5 meters and give loads of fragrant flowers in mid spring.
