Cestrum fasciculatum 'Newellii'

Cestrum fasciculatum ‘Newellii’ is a very unusual yet beautiful evergreen shrub. Clusters of red-pink tubular blooms are produced almost year round, but the main flowering is in summer here as this plant loves the heat. Blooms are followed by reddish purple berries.

Forms a semi-deciduous shrub with semi-arching branches and a narrow upright appearance.

Can be grown in poor soils and prefers a warm, sunny position. Grows to 3 m high and 2.5 m wide at maturity.

Possibly a hybrid between C. fasciculatum and C. elegans.
