Dahlia 'Fire Mountain'

Dahlias are a great old-fashioned plant, giving loads of blooms in summer and autumn. 'Fire Mountain' is one of the best, with a dazzling display of bright red blooms over deep burgundy foliage. Best planted in full sun in well-enriched soil; grows to 1.6 metres x 1 metre. Dahlias are tuberous and can be left in the same place for a few years, but should be lifted and divided at least every three years, during winter dormancy, to prevent crowding.
