This dwarf almond variety is an excellent choice for limited spaces, only growing to 2 x 2 m. It does not rely on cross-pollination with another almond variety to bear fruit, meaning you only need one to grow your own almonds!

It features large and wide kernels with a paper-like shell. These mature in the middle of the season, around early March. The nuts have a pleasant sweet taste and can be utilised in various ways.

The tree itself is low maintenance and has an upright growth habit with an open canopy. Large white and pink blossoms flower in the spring, providing ornamental value as well.

This variety produces a reliable crop of almonds that can be enjoyed fresh or roasted. It's best to harvest the nuts when the shell begins to split open. After harvest they can be stored in their shells for several months in a cool, dry place. Once shelled, they should be placed in an airtight container for storage.

Tree Care

Choose a warm and sheltered location for planting, ensuring the soil is well-drained and well-worked. Take care to position the bud union above the soil surface when planting. Water the tree upon planting and maintain soil moisture until it becomes established, particularly over its first summer. Apply fertiliser during planting and once more after new growth emerges. Prune at planting time to promote fresh growth.
