Ginger Treats

A genuinely unusual colour for a rose. Ginger Treats opens in rich tones of ginger, caramel and mustard with a crimson tinge on the outer petals, then fades gradually to cream as the bloom matures. The tight buds reveal layer after layer of ruffled petals in that warm, spiced palette. It's not a colour you see often, and it gives the garden something completely different.

The bush grows to 1.2–1.5 m with healthy, disease-resistant green foliage. Fragrance is light. Named after breeder Bruce Brundrett's favourite sweet treat (crystallised ginger), this Australian-bred rose has a nostalgic, old-world feeling to it despite being brand new for 2026.

If you gravitate toward tawny, amber and brown-toned roses rather than the classic pinks and reds, Ginger Treats is one to seek out.
