A pure, clear yellow rose with the full, ruffled bloom form of an English-style shrub. Happy Go Lucky carries its colour with real confidence: no apricot drift, no fading to cream, just bright, sunshine yellow on healthy, vigorous growth. The blooms are fragrant (strongly so) and densely petalled in that old-fashioned, quartered style.
The bush grows to about 1.35 m with rich green foliage that provides a strong backdrop for those bright flowers. Bred from 'Soul Mate', it inherits good health and garden performance. Yellow roses with strong fragrance and an old-fashioned flower form are not common, and this one fills that gap well.
