Hydrangea macrophylla 'Red Beauty'   –   Mophead Hydrangea

Hydrangea macrophylla 'Red Beauty' is a deciduous shrub producing large mophead flower clusters with finely feathered petal edges. Flowers emerge green in midsummer and gradually transform to rich deep red, intensifying further to plum-red tones as autumn approaches, providing many weeks of ornamental colour. In acidic soil conditions the flowers are purple.

This cultivar's well branched, mounded growth habit and glossy deep green foliage make it ideal for border plantings, foundation plantings, and container cultivation. The plant thrives in moist, well-drained soil and benefits from protection against intense afternoon sun, particularly in warmer climates.

A striking mophead hydrangea with an exceptional autumn colour transition from deep red to plum.
