Prunus 'Spicezee'  -  Interspecific Nectarine
Nectarine x Plum 'Spicezee' was the first interspecific nectarine released to Australian home gardeners. The fruit has an excellent flavour, with a desirable blend of the sweet, mild sub-acid nectarine and the tanginess of the plum.
Skin is coloured maroon-red with a rusty appearance. Flesh is pale green to white, juicy, and has good firmness. Flavour is very good, and a distinctive blend of nectarine and plum.
'Spicezee' is self-fertile, so no need for pollination partners. Areas that experience cold winter months should produce good crops.
Requires full sun. Good resistance to pests & diseases. Not suitable for pots.
The plant reaches a standard fruit tree size, with an oval/rounded spreading growth habit.
