Salvia 'Silas Dyson'
'Silas Dyson' is a bushy herbaceous perennial with port-coloured buds that open to vivid crimson flowers. It is an excellent performer, with an extended flowering season from late spring to autumn. The small, ovate, mid-to-dark green leaves release a light sage fragrance when brushed.
This cultivar is remarkably frost hardy and drought-tolerant, fast-growing, and easy to cultivate, thriving best in full sun with fair to good drainage. Salvia 'Silas Dyson' is very attractive to bees and other pollinators, making it a valuable addition to wildlife gardens. The long-stemmed flowers are also excellent for cutting.
