A handsome evergreen shrub with glossy dark green leaves and clusters fragrant white flowers that appear from late winter into early spring. These are followed by metallic blue-black berries that persist through much of the year, adding extra ornamental value.

Compared to the standard form of Viburnum tinus, 'Lucidum' has larger, shinier foliage and a more upright, vigorous habit, making it a particularly good choice for hedging or as a feature shrub in formal or informal gardens alike. It tolerates coastal conditions, frost, a wide range of soils, and is shade-tolerant and drought-tolerant once established.
